Lobuche east peak summit which is a dark, rocky and sloppy pinnacle is just above Khumbu glacier. Laurence Nielson and Ang Gyaljen Sherpa were the first to scale the Lobuche east peak on 25th April 1984. Lobuche East is reached by descending a marked notch and climbing steep snowy slopes to the top. During the climbing expedition, you will pass through beautiful settlements of Sherpa community. There you will have an opportunity to explore their distinct culture, rituals, enjoy freshly cooked cuisine, serene monasteries. You can also explore the diverse flora and fauna.
The Lobuche peak climbing begins with a short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Then we begin a trek to Phakding and reach Namche Bazaar, where you will have a rest day for acclimatization. After acclimatization you will continue your trek to Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche and reach to Everest Base camp, after climbing Kalapattar we return to Lobuche and climb to high camp and summit the Lobuche east peak and retrace the same trekking trail to Lobuche, Pangbuche, Namche and ends at Lukla. Overview
Lobuche Peak Climb with Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular trekking peaks for having wonderful mountain scenery. Lobuche peak consists of two different summits, east and west with the elevation of 6119m and 6145m respectively. A continuous rim binds them but there are a sharp gap and a considerable distance between these two summits. The east is as a trekking peak whereas the west is for the expedition.
