Island Peak, also known as Imja Tse, is a very popular trekking peak for climbing in Nepal. It is a non-technical snow climb. It looks like an island in a sea of ice when we see it from Dingboche. And involves a steep and ice or snow climb from the base camp.
Climbing to this peak gives full satisfaction to every amateur and seasoned climber. If you are looking for such a peak that brings you the thrill of adventure and also wishing to gain a true experience towards the peak climbing expedition apart from just trekking in Nepal, this is the perfect choice for you to climb.
Our professionally designed itinerary of Island Peak climbing offers you a couple of extra days at Namche Bazaar to adjust. Leaving Namche, we head for Tengboche, a very famous place in upper Khumbu area for its ornately decorated Tibetan monasteries. And Khumjung with Hillary school inside the clouds and mysterious Yeti scalp.
After the required climbing practice course offered by our Climbing Sherpa on various aspects of climbing technique and using of climbing gear. We then begin the climb and summit. Your effort to attempt to summit the peak will not be in vain. As a reward, you will probably get one of the best panoramic views of Mt Everest and many other peaks. After the summit, you will gently descend with a sense of achievement following the route that takes you to many cultural sites, such as Pangboche and then Namche and ends at Lukla.
If you are looking for a longer trip to Island Peak for more than 18 days then we can include Everest Base Camp and Gokyo and make the itinerary for 21 days. Our Island peak Group departure is made every week from Kathmandu. The private trek can also be sort any time upon request.
